Replaced center support and bearing - noisier than ever 700 1990

Hiya folks.

I posted the other day about replacing my driveshat bearing mount (rubber) and the bearing as well.

I have the keyed driveshaft splines between the two halves that can only be assembled one way, though the u-joints can be reversed. At some point, I did separate the u-joint behind the carrier bearing (thought I had to) and I'm not sure I put it back in the same orientation. I couldn't find a mark on the rear halfshaft.
About a week ago, I replaced just the rubber, but the bearing seemed noisy even with re-greasing. So I replaced the bearing too, and now it howls like all get out.

Anywho, it sure is noisy now. Anyone able to lend me a word of advice?

In other news, I hit a massive (100+) lb rock that slid off a hill on a blind turn in a rainstorm a while back. Destroyed my catalytic converter and bent a piece of the subframe(?) that passes under the shaft behind the middle u-joint. I think maybe the rock hit the driveshaft too and bent it.

I just drove 400 miles yesterday, and I don't have half my tools, but I have enough to do it by hand if I have to.

No fun!

Happy bricking
