940 brakes long pedal travel! 900 1995

Worked on my son's 95' 940T brakes over the weekend.

It typically has had weak brakes & I discovered the front hoses were cracked (no signs of fluid leakage) so decided to work on it.

Replaced the front pads, still had some life though less than 1/8"
replaced the front hoses with new rubber OEM hoses.
Completely flushed with new fluid using a Motive power bleeder

For bleeding I first suctioned the nasty looking fluid from reservoir, then topped off with new fluid. Started at right rear, left rear, right front then left front. Bled about 4 oz each. Went back & bled another 2 to 3 ounces from both rear & right front until a more clear fluid came out. In all I added about 32 oz to Motive bleeded & pushed at least 24 oz through the system.

Some bubbles from rears, a few small black particles at rear right caliper.

Now the brakes have less power than before I did all this. And I can hear something - vacuum leak maybe? - when I depress brake pedal. Also the idle dies down substantially with brake pedal depressed.

Not sure what to check, brake booster? Master Cylinder?

Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks

Mike
