re: 87 245 auto - missing brake valve cap 200 1987

Hi All,

About 1 week ago, I was cruising through the streets of Brooklyn. I was going under 25mph. I saw a guy working under his car supported by a tiny scissor jack on the side of the road. It caught my eye because it was jacked up really high on a slight hill. And of course, there was a car standing right in front of me. I had to slam the brake really hard. I mean really hard. I missed it by 1 foot.

Today, I found a missing brake valve cap and had to retighten the bleeder valve by about 90 degree - 120 degree. I went for a test drive and it looks like it stopped the leak/bleeding.

Is it possible to lose a cap because the pressure build up? I am just wondering... I don't suspect a prank. Thank you as always.

The passenger side is missing.

As you see, this cap is very sturdy.
