relative merits of different window washer setups 120-130

On my '64 122 there exist two holes adjacent to the wiper posts for two spray nozzles. These mount with the water fed ends inside the cab where 1/8" tubing connects and I presume feed into a "T" which is fed from the pump/reservoir. I haven't figured out where this slightly larger tube would feed through the firewall - anybody know?

I've got the reservoir/pump from a later car, and the centrally located hood mounted sprayer, and if I wanted to, I could drill a hole in the hood and use that setup.

Question is, is one preferable over the other? If I use the later setup, I have to plug the two holes that exist in the '64, which I can do, but seeing as I have the two complete spray nozzles, I figured to use what was original, unless there's a reason to "upgrade" to the later style. Any thoughts?
