a few questions on volvo history: is the 940 very similar to the 240 and a rwd? 200

hi volvo sages- read the thread on the 240 brick whether to keep or get a newer car. intereting but it got me thinking about the future. have a 92 245 5 speed wagon which is a good car. do not want toget a new car which cant be easily worked on, regularly craps out or have phat monthly payments for 5 years. ok questions- how does the 940 differ from the 240, is it rwd and available with stickshift? when were they made? were wagons available? does it have an interference engine? what about the 950 and 960? thanks tons oldduke
