1983 245- I've been around he block trying to replace my factory lower dash, which has a failed left channel, bought a NOS am/fm of the same vintage which it turns out only has one channel, then, a reconditioned cr-712, which despite the reviews, I had in my 88' and never had an issue with. SUPRISE! There isn't enough clearance in the upper slot of the 83' for the cr-712!? Will I have this problem with a after-market receiver? am I limited to the lower position in the 83'? If so, BOTH volvo radios are for sale. I found nothing on the internet about this issue.
