1990 DL245
I recently rebuilt my front end, to include: strut inserts, boots, gland nuts, ball joints, outer tie rod ends, sway bar links, and sway bar bushings(poly). However, I gambled and lost on the the top strut mount. I have the Blue Box versions and will install them later this week. The car has been sidelined since
I found they are going bad. Also in my possession are 2 steel plates that fit on top of the strut mount. They install by fitting them over the three studs that mount to the car.
The plates I have are without the matching slots for adjustment found under the elliptical washer that is over the two forward-most studs. I have seen another variation of these plates, and those plates did have slots would the "slotless" plates be a bad idea to install? My impression is it won't matter, I was curious if anyone else has been this route.
