New to Volvo. Was given an 81 240 a few months ago. Had the car stall on me a couple weeks ago. Thought it was the typical fuel pump relay. Ordered a new relay, and tried to start it one more time before shutting the garage for a few days waiting for the replacement to arrive. Engine started right up. No problems. New relay came in the mail, and I figured I'd keep it in the glove box "just in case". Today, car stalled going down the road. I pulled out the new relay and replaced the old one. Nothing. I have read how most people's problems are solved with the new relay. What is next, if that doesn't seem to work? I'm not sure the original problem had anything to do with the relay, because I technically didn't fix anything. It just started working. I had the cover off the relay and was tinkering with it, but never actually did anything.
