Hi guys, The motorcycle forums are not at the BB level so I'll give this a go.
Motorcycle Brake caliper is equiv. to the Volvo. Stationary mounted, 4 pistons.
When braking, the Brakes pads shift slightly on the Pins, in the direction of the caliper rotation. Each time you Brake, the pads shift, crash the Caliper and then the car starts to stop. OK, I have a Caliper with Grooves in it from the Brake pads doing this every time I brake. So much so that the pads are wearing uneven because the Pads are caught in the groove so they can't continue putting pressure on the Rotor.
Other then replace this hard to find and Wallet draining caliper, has anyone heard of possibly JB Welding the grooves in this Aluminum caliper or possible putting a very thin Plate over that side of the caliper to give the Pad a new Riding surface.
All I wanted to do was throw a new tire on... always something
