I know my 240's have the "service socket for cranking starter motor" located in the engine bay against the firewall. I don't remember seeing this socket on my '90 760GLT. I never needed it - until now. Car is down hard away from home in a high crime area (Wal-Mart is nearby) and it's dark. Figure it has a starter motor/solenoid or ignition switch issue. Can't get it to crank but all dash lights illuminate. Battery is still strong. Taking a risk to let it sit over night and do some tests at break of dawn tomorrow morning.
For the fun of Volvos,
Mike
