Where to get a valve shim kit for valve adjustment 200 1986

I am in need of a valve adjustment for my '86 non-turbo sedan. The stealership wants $510 plus the shims (if they have them they said). What a rip! Anyway, I thought I recall sometime in the past a place that rented the kit and you paid for only the shims that were used. Does anyone recall this or know of any place to get one a a reasonable price? eEuroparts.com will sell individual shims, but I wouldn't know which ones are needed until I got in there then wait for the shims to arrive after ordering them.
