I am having problems with my 740. Lst time it left me dead it was the power stage amplifier, which I replaced with a new one. When it died then, it wouldn't start no matter what. I last got it started by cranking it forever and it would keep coughing and then finally started. When it did start, the engine felt bogged down and then it ran smoothly. I turned it on and off several times that day and it started fine every time. The next day I went out and no start again. After cranking it eventually it started coughing a little bit.
I jumped both terminals on the fuel pump relay to no avail. Looked through the FAQ's; isn't there a way to diagnose the problem by seeing if both contacts on the fuel relay operate? I can't find that information which is what I used last time to diagnose the problem.
