Fear the LSD has given up a couple more chunks of spider gear, as the rear has begun making bad noises and hopping on slow turns as though the diff is locked. Have plans to bring it in to the mechanic this coming week. A few questions...
Anyone know if the open diff Dana 30 spider gears are the same as the LSD ones? They all have 10 teeth based on the photos I've seen.
If I can't save the Power-Loc, anyone know if the TrueTrac Jeep front units can be used in the rear? I've been all over everything I can find on line but it's not clear whether the TrueTrac front units (all that's available for 3.54 down) are set up for standard or reverse rotation.
I'll call Randy's or Reider next week (of course my mechanic will probably know the options as well) but figured this posting might provide some Christmas Cheer to the LSD crowd.
