Hello all, It has always been difficult to turn the ignition key in my 544. If you didn't have it in just the right spot you would be afraid of breaking it. Well, yesterday it refused to turn at all (at least that happened at home). I am considering my options. It still has the original system with the armored cable and the coil at the other end. 1) remove it all and take it to a locksmith to have the switch repaired, if possible. My father has used someone who has been in business for 50 years. 2) find a complete replacement however it appears they are available only as used and I didn't turn up on of those. Are new ones available? 3) cut the cable and put another switch in. Any thoughts, ideas or experience with this? I was surprised by how little I found by searching the archives. Thanks.
