In your experience, what is the best glue to use for gluing plastic trim parts together in a 940, 1993 wagon?

For example, the trim "box" that fits around the tailgate stoplight has developed large cracks. I plan to put tape on the back side across the cracks, for mechanical strength, but would like to glue the cracks as well.
