Later Trailing Arms & Torque Rod Designs - Better/Worse? 120-130

I've got a 1968 Sedan with the later style "butterfly" bushings. The rubber is intact, but the steel tube on at least one of them is spinning free - meaning a replacement is in order and that my only option is rubber.

The trailing arms and torque rods from my old 1800E were the "tube" variety compatible with polyurethane bushings and since the 1800E was a 71 and a "sports" car, I'm wondering if the "tube" design is better than the "butterfly" design?

I don't have my old rear suspension parts anymore (that's a long, angry story) But I could probably buy a set from one of my "suppliers" and swap and upgrade to poly.

The question is not if it is worth the expense, but if handling, performance, and maintenance would be any better with the other style.
