Anyone heard of a 960 6cyl -> 240 swap?

There's four 960s in a local junkyard. Are those engines unreliable or have parts made of unobtanium? I thought it was odd that four of a relatively uncommon model were in the same yard.

I know, V8, but the idea of that six bolted to an M47 sounds sexy.
