Hey guys,
Thanks in advance. Car died on me last week while sitting in traffic. Checked for spark and it looked alright. Cranked the engine w/ the oil cap off and saw the camshaft turn so timing belt is (probably) good. I can feel and hear the Fuel Pump Relay click when I turn the ignition and it looked clean inside. Ran the pumps by jumpering the pins on the relay connector and I heard both pumps running. But the car still won't start. I did all the electrical tests mentioned in Bentley's for the the relay connector with the exception of the tachometer test( I didn't have one to test with) and they all check out.
Also for the past few months the car has been having some cold start issues. It would start up and then suddenly die. I'd have to give it gas(1/2 pedal) for about a minute before it would settle into a rough idle.
I replaced the in tank pump 2 years ago w/ a new sock. The main pump was replaced with a used Bosch Turbo pump about 5 years ago along w/ a new fuel filter. Cap, rotor, wire and plugs were all replaced last year. Timing belt is coming up on 60K though.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Riding the bus is cool and all but I'd rather be in the Turbo. Thanks again.
