I have the 89 244 in the shop. she drove the 2 miles perfectly Saturday. This was the one that was dying after load after getting up to operating temperature. You guys are VERY HELPFUL and always have great ideas. I took her in so they could diagnose the problem. Because you guys are always so helpful and insightful, I will give the winner a new DVD dash player. You have to purchase your own monitors for the headrest though.(and $10.00 shipping to the continental US). All that the winner has to do is be the first one that replies with the correct answer. The shop will notify me today of whats actually wrong.
Here is someplace to start....when i picked her up this Summer and got her home this is most of the things that were done.
1.spark plugs(old plugs looked normal)
2.oil change and air filter)
3.Refurbished AAM
4.Replaced the fuel pressure reg with new one(new one was bad)reinstalled old 1
5.Checked fuel pump relay(it worked)
6.installed new tank pump/filter
7.installed new inline pump/new filter
I Should have news today from the shop, so whoever gets the guess right is the lucky winner of the car dash DVD player. Its to many guys to thank individually for all the help that you guys give...so thanks to all.
