Odometer is dead in wife's daughter's '90 244.
I have a cluster with working odometer from a '87 244 on hand.
I should be able to just swap in the speedometer/odometer unit, right?
Granted the '87 doesn't have the counter to run the "change oil" light but none of us cares to remedy that. Both cars are sedans without ABS so the speedo calibration types match up.
And -
What's the right/best way to disable the airbag so it doesn't pop in my face when pulling the cluster? I've had several speedo/odo units out of clusters for repairs to the trip meter and the temp. comp. board but I know there are cautions re. airbag cars.
Thanks!
