I have hotwired the intank fuel pump to run all the time only when the key is on and noticed the car had allitle more power. Had a hard time starting in the cold until I added a new cap, rotor and plugs/wires, then now it starts right up. I have a new airfilter and the tires are @ the correct presure. What else can u do to improve gas millage? I have heard that if the external pump don't run but the intank pump does, the car won;t run. Is this true? As of now, I unhotwired the intank as a fear of burning it up and geting poor gas millage. My question is, are both the pumps suposed to run when you are driveing or does the intank opperate once to prime the lines, then the external pump runs only there after adding fuel to the engine? Will it hurt to leave the intank pump hotwired only with the key on? Where is the intank fuel pump relay located, I don't hear the intank humm when the key is 1st turned on. It still cranks and starts though.
