Been out of touch for a while ... question about installing 444 steering wheel on 544. 444-544 2007

Sorry that I've been out of touch. I've been over the mountains working on getting my Dad's estate in order. Hopefully the Probate Court will get in motion soon so I can put that mess behind me.

Also, the phone system at Dad's quit working, and the phone company says it's inside wiring, not their problem. Funny that I get no signal the the Network Interface box...

And on top of that, I put my laptop into the shop to be fixed, and they lost my power supply. The one they substituted kept falling out of the power port on the computer, so the thing would suddenly die with no warning.

Lots of fun!

Anyway, I'm home for three days, the computer guys got me the right power supply, and I have a decent cable modem, so I'm making up for lost time.

Here's my question: I recently got a beautiful 444 'banjo' steering wheel. I've done a little repair on it, and now I'd like to put in on my 544.

Has anyone done this? Please post details as to what I need to do to make it fit.

It looks to me like the only problem will be the turn signal canceling pin...

ALSO: Does anyone have a good horn button assembly to fit it?

FOLLOW UP ON THE PAINT DAMAGE FOR GETTING EGGED - I've successfully repaired the paint on the roof of my car, but I still need to repaint the strip between the bottom of the back window and the top of the trunk.

Also, I still have half the hood to repaint, plus a ding in the right front fender that was caused by a semi with no flaps throwing up a rock. Lucky it didn't hit the windshield!

Thanks for the interest and help.

Steve in California.
