I was about to change shocks and install the rear IPD sway bar on my wife's 945T last night when I found the lower shock mount on the driver's side was mangled under the bolt. Could have been that truck's brake shoe I hit travelling at night recently. Changing lanes and there it was. I'm surprised it didn't blow out the front tire (thanks Michelin) and it made a hell of a bang under the car.
Anyway, I have a 745T donor and the trailing arm looks the same. As far as I can tell, replacing it should be straight forward.
Support the car, let the spring extend, remove the four bolts securing the axle clamp to the trailing link, remove the front bushing mount in it's entirety and reverse the procedure on the other car.
The 745T has a limited slip rear end and the 945T a locking differential. There isn't any difference in how the axle tubes mount in the link is there?
Am I missing anything?
Thanks,
