*Ignore this mesage* should I buy this car now? Auto box problems

ITEM NOW SOLD, I WAS TOO LATE....

Hi, sorry to post on the RWD forum as this is for an 850 wagon (I know there are lots more of you guys on the RWD).

I am interested in buying an 850 Wagon for £500 ($700) on ebay (ends in 7 hours). It is listed as having a auto box problem. Seller says that "when cold you need to keep selecting through the gearbox until drive is attained". Apparently this lasts five minutes then runs as normal. Could this be a speed sensor or ECU issue? If so, simple enough to replace or suggestion of more serious auto box problems?

I've only ever had 240 and 940s so am new myself to the FWD so really would appreciate some advice - this is a real bargain price, am reluctant to pass it up.

Appreciate any advice thanks.
