Anybody had any luck improving radio reception in their car? My original 1982 Volvo radio is pretty good for the most part but it really packs it in whenever there are any big lamp standards or high voltage power lines around.
I am usually trying to listen to some commentary on the CBC--I don't listen to music very much so I am not trying to get great sound reproduction, etc. Just a radio that will discriminate and pick the usually somewhat weak signal out from the chaff. American listeners who try to find public radio will probably have the same frustration.
My local car radio store said it can't be improved, that improving reception will only make the static louder. Sort of like having a hearing aid, I suppose.
Before I give up completely and just continue to live with what I have I thought I would ask the forum for advice.
