Dear Fellow Brickboarders,
May this find you well. In the FAQs, it states, "In the 1992-1995 940, this is position 5 or 9 on the connector which connects to the unused "High Engine Temperature" lamp. Check your wiring diagram."
I have the wiring diagram for the 1993 940. Unfortunately, the position used by the low coolant indicator lamp - the lamp is between the speedometer and the tachometer (Position No. 10/81) - is not included in the wiring diagram (see Page 116-7). The likely reason is that this sensor was not installed on 940 series cars.
Does anyone know the specific position on the 12-pin connector (designated 5/1B on the wiring diagram), to which the wire from the coolant overflow tank sensor should be inserted? Positions 5,9, and 11 are available.
Having the specific location will minimize wear-and-tear on the connector, arising from the "hit and miss" connector method.
The FAQs should be updated, with the specific location, into which the connector should be inserted.
Thanks for your help. I appreciate it.
Yours faithfully,
spook
