somebody slipped my 240 a bag of olestra potato chips 200

My '89 240 leaks oil from the pan gasket, and the filter. I have a replacement gasket for it, but would like to know if there is anything(other than the flame trap) that I should check as a potential source of this problem before replaceing the gasket & filter.
thanks

I'll second the motor mount check. When the RH side starts to fall, the oil filter can become the point of contact and get pried away from the block.

Also, check the oil trap, a part of the PCV system in line between the block and the flame trap, it's often overlooked by even those who take good care of their flame traps. It should be light and hollow but may be clogged and leaking oil down the side of the block if it is. It's fairly cheap to replace and should last a long time.

Good luck.

Check your motor mounts 200

Your filter should not leak unless it is bouncing off the motor mount bracket. Also, brick oil pans don't usually develop leaks unless they are getting abused. (lots of other places leak, but not the oil pan)
