Instrument Cluster Connections 700

I need help reconnecting the instrument panel's wires to a 1986 740 turbo. My charging and temperature guages are not functioning properly. Thank you.

This is where the Volvo OEM wiring diagram really helps. Thre is a four-pole connector on the back that powers the speedo and voltmeter. There is another seven pole connector that runs the temp sensor. Make sure these are secure and uncorroded.

    Rob:
I have an 86 non-turbo 745. Is your cluster an ADO (german) or Yazaki (japanese)?
My speedometer works sprodically in my OEM ADO cluster, but when I replaced it with a Yaz, the speedo works, but the fuel guage doesn't work.
Maybe we can help each other with this problem.
    cheers,
    el raidman

I have two clusters and they are both Yazaki as printed on the circuit. There are three cable connectors that are easy to connect and then a few single wires that I forgot where to place them. I may have to return to the junk yard and observe the correct connections.
