It seems you are off to a fine start. The body looks fantastic. Those wheels and hubcaps on the white car...they look like 140 items to me, but I know that 140 wheels won't bolt onto 120s. In any event, it looks great.

In the donor car engine shot, is the shaft running side to side behind the engine a clutch cross shaft? I've never seen an Amazon with a mechanical clutch linkage before, only hydraulics.

Very best of luck with the project, and please keep us up to date.

Thanks for posting them pics Jayce...

Fascinating really.. I've never seen pics of right side drive Amazons... and non-US spec cars. Interesting the brake linkage setup. Also, obviously that car is '68 or later... my guess would be later with the brake booster its got. But both cars lacking the side marker reflecters that we got in the US, and I don't see emergency flashers... and... yes, later hubcaps. I'd guess it's a '69 or '70, though someone could have just slapped on 140 hubcaps.

In any event, it looks like you've got all the bits you need to make a good car... best of luck with it! We'll be here for you :-)

The hubcaps in the pic look like stock items to me. It must indeed be the a '69 or '70 judgeing from things like the steering wheels, the dual brake system, the emergency brake warning light, the clutch cable.

Does this car have a LPG conversion? Or what's that thing below the brake booster (in pic of engine compartement)

cheers, ben

Wow, looks like a great start!
it looks to have the ATE brake booster and Mstr. Cyl. of a 164 or 1800, Waht brakes does it have? the usual front discs and rear drums with the key that need a puller to remove?

It's virtually identical in setup to my '69 apart from the twin carbs. The lack of trim on the rain channels and bonnet/hood and the thicker side trim also point to late '68 onwards. Is the red light above the rightmost knob on the dash of the white one the warning brake light? I've been wondering that that's for on mine....

The thing in front of the brake booster is the alternator. There's a large bracket that it can slide on that's mounted just below the rocker cover. Its on the opposite side to the dynamo on my '67 LHD car.
