replacing those little lights? 700

On my 740 GL I am wondering if there is night light illumination for the sunroof / rear defrost swithes? I know the defrost has the built in orange light on the switch itself but I am wondering if there is one similar to the one for the headlight/ fog light, antenna panel?

If so does the whole face pry off to replace it? If it has a spring clip type retainer can someone tell me what side to pry from?

Thanks,

Maui

You have to pull the trim off from the right side. It will pull off but make sure you do it from the right side. There is a little blue bulb in each switch that you can get from the dealer or from one of the online stores. Autozone has the bulb but it is white. I'll look to see if I still have the part number.

Thanks for clueing me in Paul!

I was able to remove the trim piece and replace the bulb although with a white one.
I bought an entire instrument cluster from ebay so have lots of extra bulbs.

I found light holders on both the defrost and sunroof switch but there was only wires and a burnt out blue bulb going to the defrost switch. I looked around for another set of wires but found none.

Does your car have lights on each switch?

Maui
