APA Heater Hoses? Quality? 200

What kind of quality are the APA heater hoses? Are they as good as the genuine Volvo hoses? I want to use good hoses and not have to redo the job soon.

    I'm sure the APA hoses are okay to use and will last some reasonable length of time...though I have seen the APA and Volvo hoses side by side and the Volvo hoses look and feel of much better quality. I personally only use Volvo hoses and always purchase them through Borton Volvo at an excellent discount. You have to email them (parts@borton.com) to get the discount, many times they don't respond...if that's the case then just call them up and tell them to check their email.

      What do you have to say to get a discount? Or do they just give everyone who emails them a discount?

        Just specify that you are looking for a quote for *whatever* plus shipping to your zip code. I'm not sure but I assume they can only sell discounted items out of state (?).

        Like I said in my previous post, if they don't get back to you in a reasonable time give them a call and pester them. They will get back to you.

        They just seem to have a different price schedual over the phone( I guess they figure that if they have you on the phone, you're ready to order and they highball you, when you email themyou get a MUCH more civilized price ) they didn't used to do that, but that's the game now.
