For Sale: '75 164 (runs, street legal), Rallye GT instruments, IPD sway bars, in N.J. 140-160

I'm in New Jersey, and I'm putting my '75 164 up for sale, and also separately selling a Rallye/GT instrument panel and IPD antisway bars at a good price to help sell the car. The reason for announcing it here is that the regular advertising list doesn’t give much flexibility to present that offer the way I’d like to, so I’d appreciate your allowing me to explain here on the 140-160 forum. Thank you.
E-mail me for any questions or for some pictures (taken last year when I bought it).

First the car:
It’s a 1975 164, fully insured, licensed, inspected* and legal to drive [ * because of its age, its inspection is the “Collector Car” variety, which means it doesn’t get the emissions, etc., examination].
It has 79,000 miles, is a 49-state (non-California) version -- it doesn't use a catalytic converter (and doesn't have the unleaded fuel restrictor), but it does have the air pump.
It also has an automatic transmission, A/C (which still works a bit), and factory sunroof and power windows. The color is red with brown interior.
It runs OK on the road (brakes pull a little to one side, exhaust noisy) – it starts easily and promptly even when cold (when hot, too) – no problems there. Likewise, the transmission is good and shifts well, too. But it’s got a fast idle, which is probably just a vacuum leak, given that it clearly needs new vacuum hoses, etc.
It was originally bought and kept in Virginia (so it has very little rust), and then spent some time in New York (but wasn't driven much), and I bought it a little over a year ago planning to make it a "project" to fix up (only slightly needs work, mostly vacuum hoses, brakes, etc.) and then have it repainted.
Aside from some small rust perforations (nothing major, though), the body really needs little work (new mud flaps, etc.) – but a paint job would be nice. Also, the sunroof crank is a little troublesome, but I have the IPD replacement gearbox, too, just haven't replaced it yet. The only really bad things are the leather seats -- which are really heavily cracked – and I had been planning to replace them with '86-on seats.
My original plans were to fix it up really nice to make it a fun weekend road car, enjoying the sound and feel of that grand, straight six. Unfortunately, we have had a change in personal plans and priorities, so my loss is your gain.
I think that $500 is a fair price for the car, considering it’s running and road-worthy and road-legal with low mileage. It’s a good starting point for a project.

And to sweeten the deal, I’ve got a couple of big-ticket items that I will offer to sell separately, at a lower-than-reasonable price, to whoever buys the car. The car’s buyer doesn’t have to buy these things, of course (they can just buy the car), but I think that most people interested in the car would like to have these, too. If the car’s buyer doesn’t want them, I’ll sell these things separately elsewhere. These extra things are:
1) Rallye/GT Instrument Panel [tach/speedo/odo, voltage, oil pressure and sensor, coolant temperature, fuel level], all new-in-original-box (only 2 "QC check" miles on the odometer!). Although this panel has the 4-cyl. tach, I also am including one of the later "dual input" 4-cyl/6-cyl. tachometers (identical style) to swap it for this 6-cyl. car. Price: $300 (including the second tach).
2) IPD antisway bars, 25/22 mm (brand new, still in the box), including poly bushings, etc. This isn’t always available (IPD offers them, for this 1975 year, only occasionally). Price: $250 (this is below IPD’s price).

Unfortunately, I have to ask you to please not ask me to arrange for shipping – it’s best if you only consider the car if you can come and get it yourself (remember, N.J.), or if you can arrange for the shipping if it’s far! And if you want to come and drive it home, you will have to come on a weekday to get “temp” plates (actually a rear window sticker) from our local DMV office, as I can’t let you take its current plates, even temporarily – they’re personal (a.k.a., vanity) plates and cannot be transferred to anyone else.

Forgot to mention -- front rotors and calipers included in car's price 140-160

Hi. I forgot to add [because they were down in the basement] that I had already bought (but not yet installed) front calipers and rotors (slotted, cadmium-plated, Brembo), and I am including these in the sale of the car. The rotors (from Eurosport Tuning) and the front calipers cost well more than half the price, $500, that I'm asking for the car.

Let me know if you are interested in selling the GT dash gauge set separately from the car.

Hi. Thank you for being interested.
Unfortunately, I'm offering the instrument panel at that
price only as an incentive to help sell the car. If the eventual
buyer of the car doesn't want to buy it as well, and I'm left to
sell it separately, I'm probably going to put it on eBay where it
(new-in-box, including oil pressure sender and angle adapter, and
wiring diagram), with both 4-cyl and 4/6-cyl tachs) will return a
higher price than what I've asked bundled with the car.
But if I do have to resort to eBay, I'll put a message on
Brickboard to announce that -- keep looking.
      Regards,
      Ken

Addendum: Saturday is OK, too :-) 140-160

    Hi.

re: "...you will have to come on a weekday to get “temp” plates (actually a rear window sticker) from our local DMV office...."

Sorry, I forgot to say that coming to drive it away on Saturday is OK, too -- the DMV is open Saturday mornings until noon, too, to get a temporary sticker.
