Bentley wiring colors for 240 wrong 200 1984

IN the process of instaling a radio in the 242Ti, I was checking the connections.
The colors for the radio wiring in the Bentley manual are quite wrong, especially for the speakers.
The car came with a 9 position (8 connection) plug for the radio, which I believe is standard.
I finally scoped it out. If anyone needs the info I have it.

Getting close to getting it on the road. Did new heater motor last week, so since it's apart I figured putting in the radio would be a good idea at this time.

Here's what the Volvo Service Manual Wiring Diagrams for the 1984 240 say about that 9-pin connector. This is from a pictorial diagram, not the schematic, BTW.

#1...GN...to Fuse #8 (constanct power)

#2...SB...to Fuse #1 (switched power) Note: SB = Black

#3...R....to power antenna. Has a short lead and a connector on it.

#4...Y-W..to LF speaker, Positive.

#5...GR-Y.to RF speaker, Positive.

#6...Not used.

#7...W....to LF speaker, negative

#8...GR...to RF speaker, negative

#9...SB...Grond connection. A larger gauge wire that the others.

Curious to know where the above differs from Bentley.

The front speakers are pre-wired, not so the rear ones. Adding rear speakers as a factory option with a Volvo radio requires the use of an amp and a DIN cable plus the wires to the rear.

Good Luck,

Bob

Maybe a previous owner changed something? The Bentley manual diagrams are direct copies of the Volvo green book fold-out diagrams (something I didn't know till recently) and I think the 240 radio wire colors stayed the same all through the eighties.
