Hi Folks

The gas filler door came away in my hand when I opened it to fill-up today. Is there a retainer that holds the hinge spring in place? Don't want it to fall off when I go over a bump.

    The same thing happened to me. I just pressed it back into place and drilled in a couple of metal screws (with the pointed tips) where the plastic inserts into the car. It took two minutes and is as strong as stock...

    you should be able to find a replacement at a parts yard or the volvo dealership possibly.
