Hi everyone,
I came across this product on ebay marketed in Uk and seemingly made in US. It claims to improve worn cylinder compressions by adding to engine oil at oil changes.

Does anyone have any experience with this product and is it safe to use on a V6 Volvo engine?

I have not used it, but general advice on the board is to stay away from additives (although I have used a few - for short periods).

I guess the question might be - why are you looking to use this? I for one have fell trap to using things like this when I actually did not need them at all.

One note - I understand the valve passages are not that big in the V6. May not be important. Just came to mind.

Well my 760 B280E engine has just done 87k miles and just had a compression test. Readings were fairly normal except 2 cylinder that were a bit less, more than 10%. Just wondered if the product could improve the compressions.

The car runs fine and is responsive.

Man - many would DIE to have a ride like that. You did not say the year - which might be like mine - low miles - older model. Soemtimes if the PO has not kept the crankcase ventalation clean - that meeds to be cleaned - MANUALLY (like I did yesterday).

Most other stuff will just work itself out with driving. Forget the additives. Use a good cleaning oil, like the Mobil 7500 syn blend (sold at Walmart) if you feel you need a cleaner motor.
