Aftermarket ECU 200

I have an '81 245. I just noticed the other day that I have an aftermarket ECU. I'm sure some of you have seen them (Dana Corp, Toledo, Ohio). Anyways, it has some adjustment screws on it, ie. speed, sensitivity, etc.. I was wondering if anyone knew the correct way to adjust them. Is there a combination of adjusting them? What are they all for? I am looking to get better performance. Will adjusting any of these help? What will happen if they are adjusted wrong? Looking for help, thanks.

That's one of the Haynes book caption errors. That is actually the cruise control.
