Stranded ! - code 114 900

Hi all, my 95 960 is stranded at the grocery store. The edu reads 1-1-4, which I believe is "program selector open-circuit or short circuit to ground"

The engine turns over, but won't catch. A couple of times it nearly caught, but then dies. the battery is now getting low from the repeated tries.

Help, is there anything I can do to limp home?!!!! I cleared the ecu and that didn't help. -Stranded brick

Code 114 indicates a problem with the Mode (W,S,E) Switch or the wiring. I suggest you play with the buttons and pop the switch out (comes out from aboce the console) and check the contacts, make sure all are clean and see if it will start.
