740 --->760 Swap 700 1988

Hi Everyone,
Anybody know if it is possible to swap an engine and transmission from a 90 760 Turbo with B-230FT engine and transmission into a 88 745 GLE with B230F engine?I Just want to have a heads up if such a thing is possible. The 745 is getting very old and tired. Hopefully his brother,the 764, can help him out without too much expense. :) I believe 90 764 got a AW 71 and 88 has a AW70 L ?
Thanks guys,

Maybe I am missing something, why do you want to do the swap what is wrong with the 90 right now? Does it have body damage or some other reason it is no longer a goood car. If it still works it seems like alot for work to swap the motor if you have one that already works

Funny, I just responded to a similar post:

In your case, yes, should be pretty straightforward - because you've got the full donor car. The biggest complication you'll face is wiring, the fuel system on your 88 is LH2.2 and the 90 is LH2.4 So that means don't get rid of the 764 until you are certain you have all the necessary bits hooked up & working on the 745. You'll be swapping engine, transmission, exhaust, wiring harness & ECU, coolant hoses, airbox & AMM, fan shroud, and adding the intercooler mounts & brackets, relocating the rad back to allow for the intercooler. What else am I forgetting - anyone care to help me out?
