93 240 CLUTCH FORK QUESTION

I just about have my transmission out of my 93 240. My question is does the clutch fork have to come out before I can remove the transmission. And if so how do you remove it. Thanks in advance

No. It might tend to hang up, but so does the cable eyelet on the bell housing does when you try to work things out of the tranny tunnel. The fork is more of a problem when you re-install the tranny and you do not want to find after re-mounting it that you have knocked the fork off its pivot.
