cold start injector/Mulletbreath 700

Mulletbreath the engine is a B230 and I have to crank for while (4/5 times or more)when temps drop to 5/10 Degrees overnight. If temp is around 25/30 or above the car starts with the first crank. Do u have any idea of how to fix the problem?
How about the reply the other fellow gave saying there is a cold start injector underneath the intake manifold? Who's right?
Tks guys

It's been my experience that there is NO 5th injector under the intake - what there is - is a brass coolant temp sensor with a single (usually yellow) wire and connector.

If this sensor goes bad, it will result in too much fuel being sent into the cylinders and contamination of the oil. I don't think this is your problem.

If it is starting you're lucky ! We just went thru a New Hampshire cold spell over the last two weeks and people who own bricks were having major no start/cold start problems. It was 15-20 below every night for two weeks straight. My issue was that I had fuel contaminated oil resulting in no start. Pull your dipstick and take a whiff. If you smell gas, you have the makings of a flooded engine - change the oil - sounds really weird but, these vehicles ARE Volvos and do very weird things to their owners.

Does the engine fire and not stay running or does it not fire until after you crank it four or five times ?

Does the car run well after it's warmed up ?

Are you getting normal gas mileage ?

Is it blowing black smoke from the tail pipe ?

Hi Rich
Tks for taking interest in my problem.
I'm in Long Island,NY and we also have been thru very low temps during last couple of weeks. As I mentioned the cold start problem occurs when temps at
6 AM are in the teens. As long as they are in high 20's the car starts with the first/second crank.Above 30 degrees starts fine.
As far as your questions:
1-the car does not fire at all before 5/6 cranking attempts.
2-after warm or even 20/30 seconds after firing car runs fine.
3-the gas mileage has dropped from around 300 mile/tank to around 240 miles/tank in the last 3/4 months without change in driving habits.
4-Since it's still dark at 6 AM I can not tell if there is black smoke out of the tail pipe, but I don't think so. However, once the car fires after the 4/5 cranking attempts the engine runs very roughly for about 20/30 seconds after which resumes normal idle.
There were previous issues in December somehow related.Should I describe them?
Let me know.
Tks again
