AW71 ATF leak 700 1989

Hi,

I have a 1989 760GLE (B280F). Last night I noticed ATF had spilled over the transmission (AW71) and there were a few drips on the base of the pan. It appears to be coming from a small plastic fitting at the top centre just aft the bellhousing and from the rear of the pan gasket. Tailshaft seal is bone-dry.
I have recently had the car serviced, including an ATF change at the dealer. About two weeks ago I replaced the centre support and u-joints, trans. was completely dry then with no sign of any leaks. Car has done 240k Km.

Thanks,

Tim, Australia.

AW71 ATF leak 700 1989

Coming from near the small plastic grill on the top? I believe there is a vent under the grill that ATF will escape from if overfilled.
