87 Betone

Note the 87 Bertone for sale in the gallery. It has a 6 cyl motor. I know some years this non-Volvo engine was OK and other years it was a disaster. Who recalls the safe bet. Any other opinions you have on an 87 Bertone would be appreciated as well.

Thanks

by the book, that ought to be the B280 engine, which was the best of the bunch.

check everything you can to be certain thereof. The B28 and B27 had issues you don't want.

Also, beware that parts, as Klaus said, are far more scarce that the 240/740/940 stuff that's around boneyards.

good Luck,

Bob

Hard to find body/interior parts, Mechanically the same as a 760 NA, it's an Illinois car so watch out for salt, wonder how many miles on the clock, only the front windows lower, and the rear get rusty. Don't buy it unless you get to crawl around it first.
