Removing cylinder head 200

Is there any "lazy" way to remove the cylinder head w/o first removing all the drive belts, fan, and whole timing belt? If the marks on the timing belt are aligned with the crank, intermediate, and cam sprocket when reassembled is this OK, or do I have to bring the Crank to TDC and the cam to closed positon on piston one valves ? I'm thinking I'd just leave the crank, intermediate with the belt on in the same position and rotate the cam sprocket to match up to the mark on the belt - is this correct ? I'm a novice at this so any tricks to make this job easier would be greatly appreciated before I tackle this project.

Oh boy, this could soon be one of those "I'm pretty sure I got the belt on right. My car won't start" posts. Do like the other guy says, so it right.

Nope..... The timing belt will not stay engaged with the crank pulley once you pull it off the cam sprocket.

The "lazy" man's way to do this job will take you longer than if you do it correctly in the first place.

Get the Bentley manual and get familiar with it before you start, this is the best trick I can share with you, along with PB blasting all the fasteners to be removed and gathering up all the parts that are required prior to starting.
