Manuals specific to your '95 are difficult if not impossible to come by other than Volvo green manuals. The 700/900 FAQ here plus the searchable archives and RWD postings are quite likely the next best source for owners. I keep a set of Haynes and Chilton's manuals handy even if they're for UK cars or older years of my model -you can often pick them up on sale. Haynes is good in that it has proper wiring diagrams, but I prefer the Volvo green manual for electricals. This doesn't help you, but for owners of 240's (and early 740's which share similar power trains), the Bentley manual is a must and for newer owners of those cars I can recommend the Volvo Problem Solver (available through ipd) as a Christmas present.
The on-line AllData service is aimed at indies as well as owners. The basic subscription is restricted to one year, make and model. The general content is much better than it used to be. System descriptions are fairly good, but some areas aren't well covered. The technical specifications are especially useful. Repair procedures are usually pretty skimpy. The Volvo service handbook (which I believe can often be found as a CD on eBay) is an even better source for technical specs. Most of AllData comes directly from the Volvo manuals. One of the big bonuses is being able to subscribe to the Volvo TSB's -the full text simply isn't available outside Volvo shops. They reveal the deficiencies and remedies associated with your model year, often going into great detail. The cost justification is up to you and would partly depend on your skill level and how often you'd likely need extra help or full specs. One thing you should know is that AllData offers an attractive subscription price to public libraries with all but the most recent years, makes and models available (except BMW). I'm lucky, my local library offers free internet access to AllData. I can print off the few pages I might need later. If yours doesn't then maybe make a request to the chief librarian and IT coordinator.
