Has anybody done these mods and do they work?! 700 1988

i have a 1988 740 gle wagon and she is slow as piss. Not looking to make her insane fast i just want a little more umph. I was wondering if anyone has done the cam and cam gear set, k+n air filter, ngk plugs and the sport exhaust from ipd. Is it worth the money at all? Also has anyone used there strut braces for the front and rear on a wagon? Is it worth it? Also what about the lowering springs? Thanx and any input would be apreciated.

These questions have been discussed quite a lot on this board. Try a search on them and you'll get lots of experience. I'm still thinking about the VX cam myself.

I have the lowering kit and sway rods (25mm front and rear on my 88 760 wagon, thinking of transfering them to my 1990. Yes, reccommended.

Dear friend, Suspension upgrades are always useful and usually culminate in an IPD sway bar set for nice secure handling. Elsewise sell your nice car and go fot a 740 Turbo which should be very reasonable. The zip and upgrades will make you say wow! I never would have known how zippy the turbos are! Yes slightly more maitenance, but you seem like you tinker already. 50 more horsedoesmake a difference. Just a thought. Test drive one so you know what performance you can have.
