Electrical Instument Problems, 89 740 GL Non-turbo wagon 700

I know I have problems with my electrical instrumentation panel as my speedo cuts in and out, and returns with the occasional wack at the top pf the dash. At times my temp or fuel guage will go out also, and require a wack which returns it to the land of the living for a while most times.

So I know it is in the dash, not the engin sensor, rear axle, or fuel sender.

I havent seen too much on how to fix this type of problem without doing an instrument replacement, is it possible, and are there any quidence on the board available?

All the yards around upstate NY (Glens Falls) charge alot of $ with no guaruntee on electrical parts, so I usually repair or buy new (AMM cost 60% of new, with no return available). Any pick and pulls that you know of in this area would be great to know about also.

I would pull the instrument cluster and just check all the grounds, etc. It's pretty easy to remove, just make a good note on where the wires go incase you inadvertantly pull one off.
