I might be able to cough one up out of a green manual but don't know if
it would be the same year. They didn't change very much though.
What year is yours?

It's a late 64, George, high 15,000s serial number.

What I got is, wacky lights in back. I think I may have ground problems, but the wiring looks a little shadey too!

In the left rear fender there is.... let me see if I got these wires right?

Red and white go to the center mounted 1157 dual element bulb. (red is brake and white is taillight)

Grey goes to the Backup light from the reverse relay. (bottom bulb)

Green and blue come from the turn signal switch. (top bulb)

Black wire in the bundle is the fuel tank sender line.

A bundle with a red, blue, 2 whites, and a grey runs across to the right side and the tailgate.

I assume a poor ground will cause current to run helter skelter looking for a ground path in the rear lighting circuit (especially) and, in general, causes "wacky" unpredictable lights?

The UK Volvo club has these on their site but you have to be a member to play. If I can get good copies of the various schematics I would gladly convert these to good clean PDFs and make them available to the world.

You've identified the color codes correctly.

What specifically is wacky? A ground problem in this area typically just results in a bulb not lighting. Are you sure one of the 1157s isn't jammed in 180-out? That can do weird stuff...

Yeah that links the brake and running light circuits, huh. It's not on firre, so that's good.

Taillights are are real dim, backup lights are on continuously. More to follow, troubleshooting is on rain delay.
