ac condensation 200

I have a 92 240 with the ac converted to 134a by the p.o., the problem is heavy condensation on one of the lines to the evaporator inside the car. It has so much that it looks as if a glass of water has been spilled into the plastic floor tray.
The drain line is not clogged, I had the system ckd for the correct amount of 134; the tech suggested rewrapping the line with ac dumdum which I did; still drips. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks

I think your answer is to add more of that stick black insulation. The reason you get condensation is because the part is so cold. If you can decrease the temperature difference between the outside of that part (via insulation) and the ambient air, you will reduce or eliminate condensation.

Heavy condensation on the low pressure side can also be a symptom of an incorrect charge - I believe a low charge.

Hello, I had a condensation problem with my 86 a/c. i have retrofitted it for r134, but this didn't cause the leak. it's different than the 92 a/c.

however, the leak came from the heater housing. a metal clip holding the 2 halves together in the back rusted off.

to get my hand where the clip was, i had to remove the plastic white thing that looks like three white, round globes with the vacuum hoses connected to it. Only then could i reach the area in the back.

i applied some 3M polyurethane sealant and put a clean clip in there.

these clips are the same clips that hold the black round things connected to the heater housing.

this problem may not be yours. hope this helps.
