K+N Improvement??

Yeah, I got a K+N on my Volvo 240 and wow what a difference. I got a Ram Air setup and the K+N in there and the car flys. I beat out an AUdi 1.8 T with the Volvo. Yeah, Audi sink anyways...the guy did not know what the hell to think.

But, if you want more horsepower and speed buy a K+N from A.J USA like I did. Very good outfit I think. I paid $35 for the filter with free Shipping

Heres a link to them,

Yeah, I still got the Borla!!

    K+N Improvement??

    This sounds like you might work for AJ USA?? A 240 (NA) isn't going to beat a 1.8T Audi unless the Audi is unaware there is a contest going on around him. I'm not trying to be rude or offend, but sometimes I have to throw the BS flag.

    Maybe there is a lot more going on under your hood than you list, but I don't see a B230F in a 3300 lb car doing that much damage with an air filter and big exhaust.

      K+N Improvement??

      I work for them...ok. I was just recommending them as a llegit place to buy the product cheap. Also, the guy did know about what was happening. Maybe he is a reject in an Audi but I kept with him all the way. Also, I got Ram Air which is sick. The car aint slow no more and the Borla is very nice.

      Agreed ...

      Have a K&N on my 245, B-cam, and a free-er flowing exhaust. It's faster than stock, but no way in hell would I even come close to an Audi unless they don't know how to drive.

      -- Kane ... being in SoCal, the lack of driving skills is sadly a norm. I passed 8 accidents of varying nature today just because it was raining - minor fender bender on the easy side, a roll-over and car-be-que on the drastic side.

        Agreed ...

        Stupid question but Valid what the hell is a 245 and what year is it? Everyone always says 745 or 245. Never seen or heard of it until in here?

          Nomenclature

          245= 2 series, 4-cylinder engine, 5 doors (wagon)
          745= 7 series, 4-cylinder engine, 5 doors
          244= 2 series, 4-cylinder engine, 4 doors
          242= 2 series, 4-cylinder engine, 2 doors

          All this specific naming got thrown out off the model badge on the back in 1980, but it remains in reference with Volvo and us diehard fans.

          Naturally, they had to screw with the naming convention in the 80's too, as the 760 could've been had with a 4-cylinder turbo and the 780 didn't have a V8 stock. :(
