My left headlight is suddenly far WEAKER than my right -- anyone know why? 900

Gentleman,
My third question in a week -- but damn, I'm new to brickboard, and damn, you guys are good!

So I succumbed to 'blue light fever' and got Sylvania's coolest new bulbs for my 93 940 (8v) -- but when I put them in, my left (passenger side) headlight got very dim. So I took them out, put old ones back in -- still dim! This must not be a bulb issue -- maybe I hurt some wiring? The wierd thing is, the left headlight is dim on REGULAR beam, but when I go to HIGH, the left headlight goes out entirely! (The right headlight works fine on both settings.(
Anybody have a clue? Again, kudos for a great site.

It is possible for each headlight to have separate ground connections and a bad ground will cause the symptoms you describe.

The first thing I would check is make sure the ground is good and clean, it will kill the complete circut the headlamp must make and is a common fault.

So it is not the bulbs..What else can it be....Check all fuses in your box and also check out all the wiring around the headlight. It seems to me (like above) maybe the grounds . Also try looking at another car if possible like your own to cross reference the way everything looks. Or look in Chiltons!

Yeah hopefully it can work...because the fake Xenons look cool in all cars. The silverstars are also nice lights.
